Aps becomes a mom!!!

Now I know how my friends felt when I told them I've become a mom!
Few days back, when Putchu told me Aparna delivered a baby girl today, I was like "WOW!!!"
That girl whose is my best friend, who will always be remembered as Appu, did she really become a mother.
Sure sounds strange.
A few rememberances:
** The ragging session when she was considered a "non-ap'ite"
** The day we went out to eat in "Chariot" (a tourist hotel near the college), when we got to know that Aps really knows what she is ordering..!! (PBM, Naans etc, we were still idli, dosa girls then :))
** Picnic to Sagar with the rest of the class, after the picnic the world was never the same again. We had formed a gang for a life-time.
** DDLJ movie that both of us went together, bunking the morning session, only to return to the class to collect the photos from the "day-schi" gang (Naveen,Prashanth & Kiran)
** The day we went to Naveen's house to talk to him...were we immature then??Dont really think so..or maybe we were!!
** The "Enough is Enough" fight that we had!!
** The day Aps cried because she didnt want to stay in her current room she was sharing with some non-ap'ites
** The second year that started bright with a new
room we were sharing
** Maths exam that we bunked and sat playing cards with the rest of the Fafo!
** The last minute treats that we went for in Kalinga, and the way we didnt have enough money to pay the bills
** The evening walk to the coffee shop for a cup of coffee
** The exam times when we used to call Prabhakar saru for a TopRamen and a cup of coffee
** Everytime we paid the canteen bill and thought we were crossing our limits!!
** The day(s) we fought and didnt talk to each other. I still remember how angry I was and threw the books off my shelf. Thanks to Sammy, sense prevailed later on!
** The late night calls that we had
** The "confrontation" we had with the guys gang!
** Final year when that stupid, mad 1st year had to stay in our room. I know Aps didnt sleep all night long, she was scared that the girl would wake-up and walk-out of the room in her sleep
** All the movies that we went together with the rest of the gang and enjoyed all the way back singing out loud in the autos

There are still lots and lots more, but parting with a few really mind-blowing memories:)
** The day she introduced me to their EEE gang who claimed that I was the DON of Ladies Hostel. I still cant forgive Deepak for thinking that way about me :)
** One day I woke up and was walking in the room, Aps gets up and says..
"Sirisha, can U pls take off ur slippers, they are making some noise and I cant sleep!!"
Phew..I got the shock of my life :)
** "Heal the world" concept and planning on the farewell party we gave our seniors
** The 3-legged race that we won during our 1st year in Scintella

There are really many more..may be we should start a site of our own titled Fafo and jot down all our achievements!! :)
What say,Aps-Sammy-Putchu???!!

Did the world really change?

I bet most of the ppl would say that college days are their best days...And yes, mine too...they were one of the best phases in my life and why not? We had all the fun, studied only before the exams, had nerve breaking tensions before the results, were elated when all of us in the gang passed, ate out of the hostel regularly, bunked classes and watched movies and that any normal college-goer would do. But then I've had the privilege of knowing the current college-goers and yes the style has definitely changed.. Those were the days when we used to sit and chat for hours, play antakshari and generally gossip. But now, public is busy surfing the net and chatting. If U see any blog site dont be amazed if U find roommates chatting via a blog site While we used to go all the way to Hanumakonda and get a few songs recorded in cassettes and harassed the person there for some really old songs, now ppl are busy exchanging and seeing DVDs on their own personal laptops. Sometimes I really wonder if it was only 5 years back that I graduated, is that really that long?? Do I by chance belong to the bygone era? Whatever it is I really hope these guys at college are really having fun. Though it may sound cliched, those are the best days in one's life, so live life to the fullest

My first steps

Hmmm..ok so I've come this far..so let me get going.. yeah this is my first post in a blog...and it feels "different".. Ok..my brain is always thinking about something or the other.. Most of the times I guess I think about lot of things at the same time.. And maybe this is a way to put words to thoughts.. Its been ages since I've written something on a paper...thanks to this "paper-free" funda that is ruling the roost now! Any ways let's see how this goes..and if I can keep up this initial enthu... :)
